Stronger warnings urged on the packages for prescription relief medication

Many people in the medical field and in the medical supply field are urging Congress and others to put stronger warnings on the packages.Washington, D.C.- The warnings featured on prescription drugs that are designed to treat the conditions and effects of rheumatoid arthritis, Chrohn’s disease and other related conditions are being carefully examined.

Many people in the medical field and in the medical supply field are urging Congress and others to put stronger warnings on the packages for the prescription relief medication.

The products that are linked with the TNF blocker issues include Johnson and Johnson Remicade, Wyeth’s, and several other products.

The drugs often assist in disease treatment, but their long-term efficacy is being questioned because of the number of patients that apparently later contract Cancer.

The current warnings on many of these products needs to be strengthened, and revised to reflect the true medical situation.

The so called TNF blocker medications include several different ones.

Current package warnings are such that they could be strengthened an well as other steps take to help prevent increased cancer risk.

Rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease as well as a number of relatively deadly diseases that are targeted by the medications cause a lot of inflammation.

The drugs that are in controversy target certain diseases and have proven very useful in the past, but the manufacturers of the medications have resisted having to change the warnings that accompany these types of medication.

The drugs in question work by suppressing the immune system and they attempt to combat flare ups, but its been known to occur.
