The National Institutes of Health researchers conducted a study on mice, injecting them with high-doses of vitamin C.

They found that the mice who were injected saw their tumor growth reduced by 50%.

This shows that vitamin C was able to kill cancer cells, and leave normal cells alone.

The lead author of the study, Dr. Mark Levin, stated “When you eat foods containing more than 200 milligrams of vitamin C a day, for example 2 oranges and a serving of broccoli, your body prevents blood levels of ascorbate from exceeding a narrow range.”

The test proved effective in 75% of the mice with cancer.

The results have been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
