Medtronic cures migraines

A new study on a device from Medtronic has shown that the device successfully cuts down the number of migraine headaches people suffer from.A new study on a device from Medtronic has shown that the device successfully cuts down the number of migraine headaches people suffer from.

Implanted into the back of the neck, the device fights migraines by beating them before they can even develop.

The device blasts electrical signals through a person’s central nervous system, and was said to be very effective.

In total, 61 patients were tested in the trial.

All of the patients had an average of 15 or more headache days each month. These patients did not respond well to prescription medication.

After a period of 3-months, 39% of the patients treated were able to reduce the number of headaches by 50%.

The results of the trial were presented.on Friday at the American Headache Society’s annual meeting.
