Washington, D.C.-There has been a lot of confusing reports issued about the current salmonella tomato scare that is gripping the nation.
Each state or growing concern that produces tomatoes is anxious to declare their product safe, but meanwhile federal and state officials are not any closer to finding the cause of the salmonella outbreak that has struck across the nation.
Maryland Tomatoes have been declared safe and free from salmonella, but grocery stores and restaurant chains across the nation have been erring on the side of safety.
Many of them simply are not selling or serving tomatoes of any form until the current Salmonella illness outbreak has been contained and is over.
Members from the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers of Disease Control are very frustrated, and are not any closer to solving the mystery of what has made over 300 people sick in the last 10 weeks.
Members and individuals from over 31 states have stricken, with the last count at over 330 different people who have gotten sick from the Saint Paul version of the Salmonella virus that has spread across the United States.
There have been no deaths reported but dozens of the afflicted have had to seek hospitalization for this salmonella issue.
