FDA Acts Against Fake Cancer Cures

Nearly 25 Companies Given Warnings To Cease Cancer Cure Claims.Washington, D.C.-The Federal Food and Drug Administration gave warnings to nearly 25 different individuals and companies that are making claims of curing cancer.

These companies are offering over 125 different products or cures that are supposedly able to cure cancer.

The FDA found that many people with cancer are desperate, and that in many cases people who are told that a miracle cure exists will stop and not get additional treatment that could actually help them.

Most of the cures are not new, many of them have been around for years, but this is the first time in several years that the FDA has gotten involved, warning these 25 companies to cease claims that their products prevent, heal, or cure cancer.

Examples include coral calcium and shark cartilage, but with the advent of the Internet many of these products have found a wider audience and suffered from being marketed as the next new cancer cure.

Because many of the patients that actually have cancer hear about miracle cures and buy these products, they cease getting assistance from doctors and medical professionals, and in some cases by the time they do consult with medical doctors it is too late.
