Salmonella outbreak spreads through the U.S.

Investigations have confirmed that the source of the outbreaks is actually tomatoes, as many grocery stores in states such as New Mexico and Texas have been pulling them from their stores.

The CDC has stated that at least 23 people have been sent to the hospital thus far, but no deaths have been reported.

The disease Salmonella mainly causes diarrhea as well as bad abdominal cramps.

The illness lasts for four to seven days and people have to usually go through it without treatment.
