The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed that the West Nile virus season has kicked off with the first human cases this season.
In terms of human cases, the West Nile virus has been confirmed in Arizona, Mississippi, as well as Tennessee.
In terms of animal such as birds, it has also hit Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, and California.
The CDC has stated that the best way to protect yourself from the West Nile virus is simply to avoid being bitten by a mosquito.
This can be done by wearing lots of clothes, and covering sensitive spots on your body.
The West Nile virus season may be young, but many are already being infected.
