Actor Dennis Quaid testified before Congress on Wednesday, talking about his case with Baxter Healthcare when his newborn twins were overdosed with heparin.
Dennis Quaid has filed a suit against Baxter Healthcare after his newborn twins almost died when they were given 1,000 times the proper dose of the blood-thinner heparin.
He testified before the House Reform and Government Oversight Committee to talk about whether or not drug makers should be held liable for mistakes such as this, since the problem was due to poor labels on the heparin bottles.
Quaid is angry that the FDA and others have protected these drug makers, stating that patients need the right to hold them responsible.
