Washington - The Michigan Supreme Court has ruled that gay partners are not allowed to receive health benefits.
The court ruled 5-2 in favor of banning gay couples from receiving health benefits from the employer of the partner.
This rulingis said to have an impact on around 500 gay couples who work at universities, school districts, etc.
The ruling states that the couples cannot receive health benefits from their partner’s work.
This goes against a past ruling in Alaska, which said the exact opposite.
