According to a dental group, energy and sports drinks can cause great damage to your teeth.
Dentists in the United States have stated that they can cause just as much, if not more damage than popular soft drinks.
Tooth erosion is on the rise in the United States among people in their 20s.
According to Raymond Martin, a dentist and spokesman for the Academy of General Dentistry, the reason is that the young people are drinking a “great deal more sodas, sports drinks, and energy drinks.”
“The results, if not treated early, can lead to very severe dental issues that would require full mouth rehabilitation to correct.”
A study that was published in the Generla Dentistry journal showcases how these drinks cause dental erosion.
