Salahi Meltdown On “The View”

Many had assumed that Michaele Salahi had already captured her fifteen minutes of fame. Salahi and her husband, Tareq, are known as the “White House Gate Crashers” who somehow managed to get through the Secret Service to attend President Obama’s first state dinner earlier this year.

The Salahis are now being cast on Bravo’s newest version of the “Housewives” franchise, The Real Housewives of DC.

During a promotional appearance Wednesday on “The View,” Salahi was approached and touched by host Whoopi Goldberg as she attempted to redirect her back to the subject of the White House incident.

After the show, Salahi was very upset by the incident with Goldberg and initially alleged that she had been hit by Goldberg during her presence on-stage. After hearing the allegations, Goldberg went into the dressing room and got into a heated argument with Goldberg vehemently denying that she struck her. As Goldberg became upset, several obscenities were used and Salahi’s husband, Tareq, begin to record the incident on his Blackberry.

The Salahis appeared on NBC this morning to discuss the allegations where she stated that she never alleged that Goldberg struck her and was upset by her connotation that they had crashed the White House as she retains that she and her husband were invited.
