Under tight security and under a tent, country music star Carrie Underwood and NHL hockey player Mike Fisher exchanged vows and became a married couple Saturday evening. The ceremony and reception were held at the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, GA.

The couple was joined by family and friends including Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Paula Abdul, and David Cook. An estimated 250 guests were to be staying at the resort.

Designer Monique Lhuillier designed a dress of Chantilly lace for Carrie to wear, she also designed the beautiful bridesmaids’ dresses.

The whole weekend was one of privacy for the newly married couple and their guests. They rented the entire resort for two nights at a reported price tag of over $500,000. Roads to the resort, and waterways were closed to the public on Saturday. Some reporters went airborne in helicopters to try and get pictures and to get an idea of the size of the event.

Reporters from Canada and all the American tabliods were in the area to try and get close to the event. The couple has not released any honeymoon plans, but reports say the honeymoon is going to be a romantic getaway planned by the groom.
