Washington (OTL) - The true diva herself Beyonce has scored her third straight No. 1 debut with the release of I Am … Sasha Fierce.
Her double-disc release from Music World/Columbia managed to sell 482,000 copies in the U.S. for the week ended November 23rd.
The numbers were released by Nielsen SoundScan, and are way above estimates.
The first disc in the release is from Beyonce, while the second is from her alter-ego, Sasha Fierce.
Singles which have been hits already include “If I Were A Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On IT.”
Coming in second as Dark Horse from Nickelback, which sold 326,000 copies.
In third was the debut of Idol winner David Cook, selling 280,000 copies of his album.
Taylor Swift slipped to fourth selling another 217,000 copies.
