The Metallica album Washington (OTL) – Metallica has managed to beat out Ne-Yo to stay at the top spot on the U.S. album chart.

The Metallica album “Death Magnetic” has now been at the top spot on the U.S. album chart for the second week in-a-row.

The album sold 337,000 copies in its second week of release.

This was not quite as good as its 490,000 debut in week one.

It was enough though to beat out the new release of Ne-Yo’s “Year of the Gentlemen” which sold 250,000 copies.

Ne-Yo’s last two albums opened at the top spot with In My Own Words, and Because of You.

The new Nelly album, Brass Knuckles, opened at No. 3 selling 84,000 copies.
