Hollywood (OTL) - Actress Christina Applegate had to go through a double mastectomy, having both of her breasts removed, to beat breast cancer.
Applegate, the star of the ABC show Samantha Who? announced she beat breast cancer on ABC News’ Good Morning America Tuesday morning.
She stated, “Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. It did not spread. They got everything out, so I’m definitely not going to die from breast cancer.”
She went through the surgery three weeks ago, and will have reconstructive surgery in the coming months.
She is still set to appear on the Stand Up To Cancer telecast, which will air September 5th on ABC, NBC, and CBS.
