Toronto -After months of rumors, it has finally been confirmed Brenda Walsh has been added to the cast of the new 90210.
Shannon Doherty says she is excited about bringing life back to her character for the new CW spin-off, 90210.
Fans of 90210 have been waiting months for the official word. The announcement came on Saturday from the network.
Doherty played the character from 1990-1994 on the original hit show.
Her four year run came to a sudden end, when she was fired for fighting with other cast members.
She will be reuniting with Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Joe E. Tata, and others.
The CW stated that she will be playing a guest director for the West Beverly Hills High school musical production.
