Tononto – The lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for the Barenaked Ladies, Steven Jay Page says he is innocent and has pleaded not guilty to drug charges placed against in in the U.S.
Last week, in New York City, Page was arrested on drug charges.
He was arrested on site, along with 3 other women, who also face the same charges.
Steven Page was to appear in court today.
The court documents say that when asked about the white substance, Page denied that he had used cocaine.
The news of Steven Page’s drug charge comes has a huge shock to fans of the Barenaked Ladies. The band has always promoted itself as a down to earth and family oriented band.
He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and paid $10,000 bail and was released.
