Lil Wayne’s The Carter III has managed to sell more than 1 million copies in its first week.
The album sold a total of 1.01 million copies last week, and is the first album to reach that milestone since 50 Cent did it with The Massacre back in 2005.
The New Orleans rapper finally has hit it big with this new album.
Last week, the album sold 423,000 copies on its first day.
His single, Lollipop, has sold more than 2.14 million downloads and is the top-selling ringtone of the year.
Over 2 million people have downloaded the ringtone thus far.
