The Incredible Hulk lived up to its name over the weekend as the film took in an incredible $54.5 million dollars in its debut weekend.
Hulk took a beating to the box office, as it managed to use its muscle to take the top spot over all of the competition.
The hope is that this version will end up doing better than the 2003 Hulk, which took in around $62 million in its opening weekend.
Coming in second place was Kung Fu Panda, which took in $34 million.
Coming in third was The Happening from M. Night Shyamalan, which took in $30.5 million. This was the first R-rated film for the director.
Indiana Jones and You Don’t Mess With The Zohan came in fourth and fifth.
