Patrick Swayze, who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, has been cleared to come back to TV with a new A&E Network series called The Beast.
The Beast comes from Sony and centers around an FBI veteran played by Swayze, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last March.
He also works with his partner, a clever FBI agent in-training played by Travis Fimmel.
A&E has already ordered 13 hour-long episodes of the series which will go into production this summer in Chicago.
The tentative launch of the series is set for early 2009.
Swayze put out a statement, but did not refer to his health at all.
He stated that he has been cleared to resume work and is apparently very excited.
