The R. Kelly child pornography trial started on Tuesday in a Chicago court, with the video tape in question being the main attraction.
The 26-minute video tape, which depicted what was said to be acts of child pornography involving R. Kelly was shown to the jury, as well as R. Kelly himself.
Shauna Boliker of the Cook County state attorney’s office stated called the acts on the tape “vile, disturbing and disgusting.”
She insists that R. Kelly produced and starred in this video tape, but the defense refutes these claims completely.
R. Kelly was charged with 21 counts linked to child pornography back in 2002, and was released on $750,000 bail. 7 counts have been dropped since.
