Dennis Farina, best known for his role on the hit show Law and Order, was arrested on Sunday at Los Angeles International Airport for carrying a loaded gun on his way to board a plane.
Police stated that 64-year old Farina brought the .22 caliber, semi-automatic pistol with him as he drove from Arizona to Los Angeles.
He stated to police he forgot that he had the gun in his briefcase when he tried to get through airport security.
He was scheduled to board a United Airlines flight to head back home from L.A. to Chicago.
Farina was apparently very cooperative with police, apologizing on many occasions.
He was booked with a felony of carring a loaded firearm, which was not registered.
His bail was set at $35,000.
