Shaping up to be one of the biggest movies of all time, Marvel Studios announced on Monday that they are already planning the sequel to the box office hit Iron Man. However you will have to wait, Iron Man 2 is planned for April 2010.
The good news is it is official so go ahead and mark your calendars, a sequel to Iron Man is already on the way.
Iron Man 2 will be followed in June 2010 by another Marvel comic book character hitting the big screen, Thor.
The superhero market is deep with Captain America and The Avengers coming alive in the summer of 2011 in two releases.
Already crushes box office records, the opening weekend of Iron Man pulled in $101 million domestically, and over $200 million worldwide.
To the surprise of many, the reviews have been Oscar-worthy in the minds of many, and the anticipation for the sequel is already extremely high.
