Washington - Apple has announced that the iTunes Store will begin to receive new releases day and date with their DVD releases.
Apple has announced deals with many major motion picture studios to launch new releases on the iTunes Store the same day they release on DVD.
The studios who will take part in the new deal include Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Image Entertainment, First Look Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Lionsgate.
The new releases will be priced at $14.99 on iTunes, with older films selling for $9.99.
This will make them similar to the price of a new DVD.
