Los Angeles - Miley Cyrus has issued an apology after photos of her posing nude for Vanity Fair were leaked Sunday.
Cyrus, 15, will appear partially nude in the an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair.
The Hannah Montana star was photographed by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz who used a sheet to cover the young star.
Speaking to People.com, Cyrus said she feels embarrassed about the photo shoot.
“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” Cyrus said in a statement released today. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
This is just the latest in series of racy photos of the Disney star.
last week, photos of Cyrus pulling down her shirt to reveal a green bra were leaked.
Cyrus called those images “inappropriate” and “silly.”
