The Los Angeles Times is currently investigating its own report that linked rapper Diddy to the shooting of Tupac Shakur.
Los Angeles Times Editor Russ Stanton stated on Wednesday that he will launch an internal investigation into the authenticity of the documents used in the LA Times article from a week ago.
Stanton stated “Questions have been raised about the authenticity of documents that we relied on for a story on the assault of Tupac Shakur in New York. We are taking this very seriously and have begun our own investigation.”
The Times article stated that FBI documents cited a confidential informant who stated that Diddy was linked to the shooting of Tupac Shakur.
Diddy has since come out and vehemently denied all links to the shooting. This investigation could clear the air.
