Guild Wars, the online multiplayer game for the PC, has already sold over five million copies across Europe, North America, and Asia.
Publisher NCsoft made the announcement on Wednesday that the Guild Wars franchise has garnered quite a bit of fans already.
The game launched back in 2005 and has put out many new innovations to the MMO market, currently dominated by World of Warcraft.
The game has proven that you do not need a monthly subscription model for this type of game to strive and survive, while still being profitable.
ArenaNet, the developer, is aleady hard at work on Guild Wars 2, which is expected to be an even bigger success.
