More than a few surprises at the Oscars

No Country for Old Men managed to win top honors at the 80th annual Academy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, taking home the award for Best Picture. Joel and Ethan Coen had plenty to cheer about on Sunday night as their film, No Country for Old Men, managed to win four Oscars.

The film won best picture, best director, best adapted screenplay, and best supporting actor.

This was a huge victory for the film as it was not expected to completely sweep every single major category like that.

The Oscars ran for just under four hours on Sunday night and was an absolutely tremendous show for the film industry, following all of the controversy that led up to it due to the writers strike and such.
