The mother of Lindsay Lohan, Dina Lohan, says there is no issue between her and Lindsay, as she fully supported her daughter’s decision to recreate a nude Marilyn Monroe photo shoot for New York magazine.
LiLo recreated famous Marilyn Monroe photos for the shoot and her mother said: “I looked at it as art, and as Lindsay doing a character. So I don’t look at them like it’s Playboy- she was being a character… you can look at it as a mother.”
She also stated that “It was very tastefully done.”
Dina insisted that she would not have let Lindsay’s younger sister Ali watch the photos being taken if she thought they were in any way indecent.
She apparently has no issue with the cover shoot done by New York magazine, which has received quite a bit of buzz over the last week.
It has also emerged that Stern shot the pictures on film rather than use a digital camera and duplicated the original Monroe set, right down to the lighting he used 46 years ago.
Lindsay Lohan worked with photographer Bert Stein to recreate the legendary 1962 nude photo shoot done with Marilyn Monroe.
Lohan is seen partially nude in the pictures, which has been garnering an immense amount of attention for obvious reasons.
The New York magazine went on sale earlier this week.
