The pact will allow written material for the February 10th showing of the Grammy Awards to be covered fully under contract. The Writers Guild of America, who still remains on strike, has granted an interim agreement to the producers of the upcoming Grammy Awards show.

The pact will allow written material for the February 10th showing of the Grammy Awards to be covered fully under contract.

WGAW President Patric M. Verrone put out a statement which reads, “”Professional musicians face many of the same issues that we do concerning fair compensation for the use of their work in new media. In the interest of advancing our goal of achieving a fair contract, the WGAW Board felt that this decision should be made on behalf our brothers and sisters in the American Federation of Musicians and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.”

The WGA remains on strike as it has been on strike since November 5th with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

As for the Grammys though, the show is on!
