The classic action hero is back and in a bloodier and more action-packed film than ever.

After 19-years, Rambo is just as bad ass as ever.

Stallone wrote, directed, and starred in the latest Rambo. The film is the fourth in the series which began back in 1982 and takes place in war-torn Burma, modern-day.

The Vietnam vet has agreed to guide a group of humanitarian aid workers to an area filled with intense violence, through the jungle.

He later in the film leads a rescue mission as well.

He stated “It was the hottest season in 94 years, they were burning down half the country to clear lands and there were poisonous snakes and centipedes the size of your foot. It was very fough, and there was at least one moment when I wondered if perhaps it would have been a better idea to film this movie in Puerto Vallarta.”

The 61-year-old Stallone is happier than ever bringing back Rambo though, and it appears that fans are more than ready for the return of the true, gritty, old-school action hero. The film is no slouch as the ratings board almost gave it an NC-17 rating, but instead rated it R. This is no common action film for the mass audience, this is as in-your-face as an action film can get and one which true Rambo fans should absolutely love.
