Although well over due, Amy Winehouse has finally entered rehab to get the help she desperately needs.
Over the last four year Amy’s life has been on a downwards spiral. The only pictures, four years ago shows a healthy and happy looking Amy as she promoted her debut album Frank.
However, the pictures that have followed show the effects her drug problem and the effects it has taken on her body and appearance.
Fans of Amy Winehouse have been hoping desperately that she will admit to her problems and get the help she needs.
This week video footage has leaked on which seemed to show the 24-year-old Back to Black singer smoking a crack pipe and allegedly snorting crushed ecstasy tablets and cocaine.
Following crisis talks with her worried but ever-loyal father Mitch and her manager, Lucian Grange, Amy has entered rehab at a London clinic.
A statement released stated Amy had: “Come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards.”
A Universal insider said: “Everyone has had rehab plans in place for her but were waiting until she decided to get help.
Kelly Osbourne wiped away tears last night as she helped her friend Amy Winehouse check into rehab.
The 23-year-old was on hand to support the Back To Black singer as she settled into the Marylebone treatment facility to try and kick her addiction to drugs.
Last November, Winehouse pulled out of a gig in Bournemouth after being jeered off stage by fans.
The singer has cancelled a planned appearance at music awards in France this weekend.
