Friend of rap star Fabolous, 25-year-old Shamel McKinney, was stabbed to death inside the New York City club Duvet very early on November 23rd.
He emerged from the club around 3 a.m. with fatal stab wounds. He died at nearby Saint Vincent’s Hospital within an hour of being stabbed.
A seven-inch knife was found inside of the club and it has been assumed at this point that it was the murder weapon of choice which was used on the friend of Fabolous.
The rap star was not present as he was in New Jersey to celebrate Thanksgiving.
McKinney was awaiting sentencing for charges from a guilty plea for selling crack cocaine.
Club Duvet, nor Fabolous have released any statement in regards to the murder. There is also no word at this time in regards to if there are any suspects or arrests which will be made as the investigation continues into who did the killing.
