Boston - The Keyboardist Danny Federici, an original member of the Bruce Springsteen E Street Band has left the band for health reasons.
He is taking a leave of absense from the group for treatment of melanoma. Federici is going to be replaced by Charles Giordano, who played in the Sessions band of Springsteen not too long ago. This change will begin as of November 24th in Madrid.
Springsteen stated “Danny is one of the pillars of our sound and has played beside me as a great friend for more than 40 years. We all eagerly await his healthy and speedy return.”
It is expected that Federici will go through the melanoma treatment and then return to the group for the rest of their tour. They are scheduled next to play this coming Sunday in Madrid. Their set list as of late has featured many songs which Federici has a major part in. No word if the set list may be changed.
