Britney Spears has ignored eight out of fourteen random drug test requests. However, the judge still cut her a break Thursday.
Britney Spears must provide a working telephone number so she can be reached for drug testing, a court has ruled.
The troubled diva has failed to respond in a timely manner to eight of 14 random drug requests and reminded the court that the presiding judge SCOTT GORDON has already reprimanded her three times for not being reachable by phone.
Ms Spears’ lawyer argued the singer had not responded within the ordered timeframe because she was sleeping.
Mr Federline was granted full custody of sons Sean Preston, aged two, and one-year-old Jayden James in October.
“There needs to be one number that the testing facility calls that she responds to,” Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon said.
“It’s a nonsensical procedure. She could be in a movie or traveling. What matters is that she provides a sample within six hours and that she tests negative.â€
He added that she could change phone number, as long as everyone involved was notified.
A driving restriction will be discussed at a Nov. 26 hearing.
