The hit series Nip/Tuck which stars two plastic surgeons from Miami will be moving to a brand new location, Los Angeles, when the fifth season makes its debut on Tuesday, October 30th.
The show is on the FX Network and is one of their highest ratest shows to say the least. It focuses on the lives of two plastic surgeons in Sean McNamara played by Dylan Walsh and Christian Troy played by Julian McMahon.
McMahon stated that “Season 3 and 4 were not my favorites. Three, everything was about people dying, it was so morbid, so depressing, and dark. I didn’t like it at all. Season 4, I thought we got a little bit better, lightened up a little.”
Season 5 is like a makeover for the show as it is moving to a brand new location in Los Angeles. The two have opened a clinic on Rodeo Drive.
Ryan Murphy, the creator of the show and executive producer, as well as head writer stated “One of the things that we wanted tod o by moving this show to L.A. is to explore the theme of L.A. which is people who come to this city, as I did, to reinvent themselves to go after their dreams.”
The new season will have the two getting lucky in L.A. as they are offered jobs to work as consultants on a TV medical drama called “Hearts and Scalpels.”
Season 5 should be something totally new and could truly reinvent Nip/Tuck.
