Oprah Winfrey made an apology in regards to abuse at a South Africa school

Oprah Winfrey made an apology in regards to abuse allegations made towards her school she opened up in South Africa. Oprah Winfrey made an apology in regards to abuse allegations made towards her school she opened up in South Africa.

The allegations coming out stated that an employee apparently fondled a female student. Other students have complained that they have been physically abused as well.

Oprah opened up the school for girls in South Africa earlier in the year at the price of $40 million.

She stated “I wanted to give this opportunity to girls who had a light so bright that not even poverty could dim that light.”

Things have changed though as Oprah has now placed the school’s principal and an employee on leave. Oprah stated in regards to the principal that “When I appointed her, I thought she was passionate about the children of Africa. But I’ve been disappointed.”

Oprah admitted that she is responsible for the abuse which has taken place in the school and harmed these children.

She stated “I’ve disappointed you. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.”
