Los Angeles - Kanye West and 50 Cent got their collective tails handed to them by the country legend Reba McEntire as her new album “Reba Duets” stormed to the top of U.S. pop album charts.
The pop album charts were published on Wednesday and revealed that Reba managed to take the top spot bumping Kanye West off of it. Kanye West and 50 Cent both had highly notable releases which were publicized to a great extent due to a fued between the two of them.
The deal was that if Kanye West and his “Graduation” album beat the 50 Cent “Curtis” album, that 50 Cent would never again make another solo album and would retire.
So what exactly was the stipulation if Reba McEntire came in one week after they released and managed to destroy both of them with amazing sales?
The Kanye West album fell to number 2 selling 226,000 copies while the 50 Cent album fell to 3 with 143,000 copies sold.
The new Kenny Chesney album “Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates” fell to number 5 selling 112,000 copies.
The Reba McEntire album sold 301,000 copies in the week ended September 23rd.
