New York – Nope, you read it right. Thomas Beatie — who is known around the world as “the pregnant man”, has given birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl.
“She’s really cute, really pretty,” a source told ABC News Thursday.
For those of you who are new to this story, lets back up a bit. Thomas Beatie was born a woman but became a transgender male. He is legally married to his wife Nancy.
But how the heck did all this happen you ask? Mr. Beatie was born a woman but decided to become a transgender male and legally changed his sex to male. He had his breasts surgically removed and started bi-monthly testosterone injections, but kept his vagina.
“I am so lucky to have such a loving, supportive wife. I will be my daughter’s father, and Nancy will be her mother. We will be a family,” he said this March.
Reports say that baby and mom/dad are doing great.
