New York - Over the weekend, Oxford Police had to use a taser on a man, stunning him. The man, 24-year old Kevin Piskura, has died.
Piskura died on Thursday afternoon.
This came five days after he was hitw ith the taser in the chest on Saturday.
He was interfering with the arrest of a friend, which is why police say they had to taser him.
The family has put out a statement saying “Today, we lost a son, a brother, a family member and a friend. The medical staff and everyone here at University Hospital were heroic in their efforts to save Kevin, and for that we are eternally grateful.”
Oxford police have yet to comment on the matter.
Piskura was a 2006 Miami University graduate.
