A postal inspector in Holyoke, Massachusetts delivered a package to a household on Thursday.

The package was a shipment of cocaine stuffed inside a hollowed out slab of bologna. Police had received tips that the person at the residence was involved in drug trafficking and using a specially training K-9 to find the product, opened the package containing 2.2 pounds of cocaine.

The bologna was then carefully repackaged and delivered to the address where it was signed for by an unnamed woman. Having enough evidence to execute a search warrant, the man in the home was arrested and jailed on $1 million bond.

The woman, who thought she was just gaining weight, spent 18 months getting larger and larger and looking very pregnant. When bending to do simple tasks became impossible, the woman sought medical care.

The doctors had originally determined she had a tumor about the size of an orange. When the surgery was begun however, they were shocked to find a massive, 56 pound tumor.

The tumor was not cancerous and the woman left the hospital approximately 70 pounds lighter.

This is a good reminder that sudden weight gains and pain should never be ignored.

How tight do you have to be to sack somebody for stealing 1.8 cents?

This is the question many will ask after a German firm sacked one of its employees for charging his two wheeled electric vehicle on company property. Twelve days after being confronted about this the man found himself sacked by his employers.

The cost of this indiscretion was just 1.8 euro cents (2 US cents approx). Needless to say that after finding out that other employees freely used the same source to charge their cell phones without penalty the court finally ruled that the company had no right to sack him.

The incident stemmed from the Malaysian man’s bag bursting open on a luggage conveyor belt. The surprising contents were 95 boa constrictors. Keng Liang Wong previously had a wildlife smuggling charge in the United States.

Wong was en route to Jakarta when his bag burst open.

In addition to the boas, other snakes and turtle were also found in the bag.

However, since the boas are endangered only they will carry criminal charges.

Wong was sentenced to six years in prison for running a smuggling ring from 1996 until 1998 that saw the illegal sale of more than 300 reptiles.

English was born with cystic fibrosis and had been suffering from complications from a lung transplant. She was told by doctors she would have six months to live. Upon hearing the news, her boyfriend proposed to her and they were married on September 1.

The wedding was fully paid for by a non-profit organization. Wish Upon a Wedding was the organization who funded her dream wedding, which took place at the Four Seasons Hotel. Her boyfriend used a ring that belonged to Danielle’s great-grandmother.

Mark Eskelson found out the hard way that one should only call 911 in the case of an emergency.

Eskelson, who is a homeless man, snuck into a backyard hot tub and after he realized that he needed to get out, but didn’t have any towels, he called 911 to order some hot chocolate with marshmallows and a hug.

The police offers that responded to the home in Beaverton, Ore., found Eskelson naked in the hot tub and arrested him for trespassing.

Reportedly, the man had been in the hot tub for 10 hours and the neighbors had been calling the police to complain because he had been screaming.

Darius McCollum, a 45 year old resident of New York, was recently arrested for the 27th time since 1981 for bus and train theft. He suffers from Asperger’s syndrome and has a fascination with trains and buses.

Due to his condition, his social skills are limited and he prefers to focus on things rather than people.

His obsession with transportation began as a child. When he recently hijacked a trailways bus in New Jersey, police were able to locate the bus through GPS technology.

Sadly, it looks like Darius will be going back to jail. He faces up to 15 years if convicted.

Three of the coffins belonging to the Hong Kong tourists who were held hostage and killed in the Phillipines recently were mixed up at the morgue.

One set of family members went to the mortuary to identify their loved one only to find the body of another one of the victims.

Government officials went on to say that three of the coffins had been mislabeled and the error was picked up at the mortuary in Hong Kong.

They went on to say that the error was done at the Manila mortuary where the bodies were at before they were flown back to their homeland.

A Scandanavian airline has recently announced that they plan on holding the first mid-air gay wedding.

SAS Scandanavian Airlines are currently holding an online competiton in which they will select one lucky couple to tie the knot on a flight from Stockholm to New York on December 6, 2010.

The couple that has the most votes in an online poll will be the couple that will get married on the flight.

The company went on to say that they have been holding mid-air nuptials for straight couples for years but now will be the first time that they offer the service to gay couples.

On Wednesday, September 1, the US government pressed charges against six German and Chinese executives. They were charged with smuggling Chinese honey that has traces of antibiotics in it.

It has been reported that this is the largest food smuggling case in the United States. The accused tried to illegally import more than $40 million of Chinese honey. They did this in order to avoid paying the $80 million in duties.

The German company, Alfred L. Wolff was in charge of the operation to import the mislabeled honey. United States Attorney, Patrick Fitzgerald states that there is no reason for the public to panic.
