Prince George- The catastrophic fire that killed one person and has led to two others going missing is being heavily investigated in Prince George.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are saying that there was one man that was pulled from the Columbus hotel fire that was so severely injured that he was immediately rushed to the hospital in Vancouver, B.C.
Police said the unidentified man was 58 and his family is in the process of being notified, and that his overall chances of survival appear bleak.
So far, one of the three people initially injured in the fire that destroyed the historic Columbus Hotel has died, and the other two are in various stages of serious injury.
The 1920’s era hotel was destroyed by fire early Tuesday morning and as yet there has not been a cause for the fire announced.
The fire department arrived on the scene to find the hotel fully engulfed, and they merely worked to make sure everyone had been rescued from the fire that could be located swiftly.
It is believed that one of the people that have not been accounted for is a man from 100-mile house that was staying at the Columbus hotel for the last two weeks.
The other unaccounted for man had been a hotel resident for many years and was last seen sleeping before fire broke out at the hotel at 6am.
