A man has been sentenced to 35-years in jail for spitting in the eye of a Dallas, Texas police officer.
42-year old Willie Campbell, who has tested positive for HIV, was sentenced to 35-years in jail after spitting in the eye of a police officer.
A Dallas County jury found him guilty of harassment of a public servant which prompted the sentence.
Back in 2006, he spit in the face of Dallas, Texas officer Dan Walter.
The ruling by the jury is that the spit was considered a deadly weapon since he was HIV positive.
