January 19th, 2010 · No Comments

Chrysler Group has recalled over 24,000 vehicles because of defects in the brakes. A defective part could cause sudden brake failure. No known accidents or brake failures have occurred as of yet.

The problem with the brakes was discovered at the Saltillo plant in Mexico and the Toledo North Assembly Plant in the US. A factory worker experienced a complete brake loss while testing a vehicle At the Saltillo plant where Dodge Ram trucks are assembled. In a separate incident, a factory worker noticed a deformed clip at the Toledo Plant where the Jeep Liberty and the Dodge Nitro are assembled.
