T-Mobile USA has filed a lawsuit against the coffee chain Starbucks Corp. over their Wi-Fi.
The reason for the lawsuit is that Starbucks apparently allowed AT&T customers to access Wi-Fi for free using T-Mobile equipment and lines.
The company has stated that Starbucks is at fault due to a breach of contract, as well as unfair competition and interference.
T-Mobile USA Made their complaint to the New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan on June 5.
Starbucks signed a deal with AT&T which T-Mobile believes is in violation of a contract which is supposed to allow T-Mobile to have exclusive Wi-Fi access rights in Starbucks stores until January 4, 2009.
T-Mobile stated that they are undertaking the cost of setting up the free Wi-Fi in over 7,000 Starbucks locations in the U.S.
