Google has announced that they will be laying off 300 employees from their new acquisition, DoubleClick.
DoubleClick, an advertising company, is the most recent Google acquisition.
Google is getting ready to cut back on the employees at the company, as 300 people will be cut.
A Google spokesman has stated that there is no word yet on how many will be cut.
“Since our acquisition of DoubleClick closed on March 11, we have been working to match and align DoubleClick employees in the U.S. with our organizational plan for the business.”
“This review has resulted in a reduction in headcount at the acquired company.”
The layoffs were apparently expected, and represent 25% of the DoubleClick workforce.
