Amazon has been making a big push to take a run at the throne Apple currently holds with the iTunes music store.

They stated on Sunday that they are going to begin to roll out international versions this year of Amazon MP3.

Bill Carr, vice president of digital music at Amazon, stated “We have received thousands of e-mails from Amazon customers around teh worl asking us when we will make Amazon MP3 available outside of the U.S. We are excited to tell those customers today that Amazon MP3 is going international this year.”

There are no details on the launch schedule, but it is clear that Amazon is bringing their DRM-free online music store to the masses on a global scale.
