NBC hasn’t confirmed or denied whether “The Tonight Show” host is in fact leaving.

The protection of the most innocent members of our society from things like dangerous food and poisons is an issue that is very serious and in fact something that we should always be aware of. Happy Tot is not a very happy company right now, given the fact that they had so many of their Stage 1 and Stage 2 pouch meals recalled.
The recall revolves around a packaging defect which could cause a bacteria build up for the children who happen to take it. These kind of mistakes can be extremely dangerous because some new mother could just be heading to the store and pick up some HappyTot only for her child to potentially become violently ill.
Many companies who have this kind of thing happen often cannot survive the bad publicity they get from the press coverage of the event. It hasn’t been determined yet when the Chief Executive Officer of Happy Tot will be removed their post or whether any other executives will lose their jobs over the matter. These kind of things do happen and it explains to many people out there why we have the Food & Drug Administration in place in order to protect our food supply.

Buzz is fresh in L.A. right now that Jay Leno is reclaiming his title as the king of late night as he and NBC have reportedly come to a deal for Leno to take back hosting reins on The Tonight Show.
The Peacock confirmed it put the offer out to Leno after O’Brien rejected moving the show to 12:05 p.m., a move that Coco said would “deconstruct” the talk show. So now it looks as though Leno is the big winner in all of this, getting the 11:35 p.m. series for the full hour and O’Brien is out on his rump, probably a little richer for the wear.
It is widely thought that Jan. 22 will be O’Brien’s last night as host of the series he’s dreamed of helming since he was a little boy, and that his people are working hard behind the scenes to find super guest-stars for the home stretch. The week after that, the show had already scheduled a hiatus before these shenanigans commenced.
The only way Leno would not take back The Tonight Show is if O’Brien changes his mind and agrees to do the show at 12:05 a.m. For now, NBC and O’Brien need to figure out the legalities of their contract and whether or not NBC owes the host money.
So, what’s next for the gangly redhead? A move to Fox?

Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr., a punk/post punk musician who performed under the stage name Jay Reatard has died at the age of 29. (It’s been a bad week for both punk and soul)
The Commercial Appeal of Memphis (via the New York Times) says a roommate found Lindsay in his bed at his Memphis home early Wednesday. An investigation has been opened into his death and an autopsy has reportedly been performed but the cause of death not yet determined.
Lindsay was very prolific and has a discography of 22 albums — the New York Times calls him “a creative tornado.” He began his recording career at age 15 and has played with various bands, including the Reatards, the Lost Sounds, the Bad Times and the Final Solutions. He released his first solo album, Blood Visions, in 2006 and his second, Watch Me Fall, in August of 2009. He also released a single almost every month in 2008, compiled on Matador Singles ‘08.

Obama, The Musical?
There now may be a musical in the works to celebrate some of the work and life of President Barack Obama. The main focus of the German musical is indeed the 2008 Presidential campaign. There are even people playing John McCain, Sarah Palin and even Hillary Clinton. The musical puts Barack Obama’s rise through the Democratic Presidential primaries in the best possible light and exactly how he gave hope to so many people around the nation.
The musical “Hope- the Obama Musical Story,” does touch upon some of the highs and lows of the presidential campaign. One of those lows is how Obama lost the New Hampshire Primary to then Senator Hillary Clinton. Of course Obama was able to ride that despair and rise again to win the White House. That same person, Hillary Clinton who beat him in the New Hampshire primary would go on to work for Obama as Secretary of State. I don’t know how much the musical “Hope – the Obama Musical Story,” touches upon any possible personal animosity between those two United States Senators during the Presidential campaign.
The premiere for the Obama musical will take place in Berlin. This is the same city where he gave his greatly applauded speech during a European tour after first being elected President of the United States.

The modernization of Plough Monday was brought about by Reverend Canon David Parrott of the St Lawrence Jewry church of the Church of England in London. Plough Monday was the medieval “back-to-work” ceremony in which plows were blessed on the first Monday after Epiphany.
Noting that today’s parishioners rarely make their living behind a plow, the Vicar placedr with two laptops and four smart phones on the alter. He said: “It’s the technology that is our daily working tool and it’s a technology we should bless.”
Asking his congregation to hold up their electronic gadgets above their heads he gave this blessing: “By your blessing, may these phones and computers, symbols of all the technology and communication in our daily lives, be a reminder to us that you are a God who communicates with us and who speaks by your Word.” The Reverend ended his blessing with this supplication: “May our tongues be gentle, our e-mails be simple, and our websites be accessible.”
